Don’t Replace What Can Be Repaired

A nail in the tread doesn’t have to mean a new tire. A puncture in the right spot, repaired the right way, can run safely for the rest of the tire’s life. The trick is “the right way” — and knowing honestly when a tire is beyond saving.

Patch, Plug, or Patch-Plug?

A roadside plug kit shoves a sticky cord into the hole from the outside — fine to limp home on, not a permanent repair. The proper fix is done with the tire off the wheel: we inspect the inside for hidden damage, then install a combination patch-plug that seals the inner liner and fills the puncture channel in one piece. That’s the repair industry standards call for, and it’s the only kind we’ll put our name on.

When a Tire Can — and Can’t — Be Saved

Repairable

A puncture in the main tread area, roughly pencil-width or smaller, in a tire that hasn’t been run flat — that’s a fix, not a replacement.

Not Repairable

Sidewall or shoulder damage, large gashes, or a tire driven flat (the sidewall gets destroyed from the inside) — no honest shop will patch those.

Slow Leaks

Not always a puncture — corroded wheel beads, leaky valve stems, and bad TPMS sensor seals all lose air too. We find the actual source.

If your tire can’t be saved, you’ve got options on the spot — a matched used tire to pair with your remaining tread, or new tires if it’s time. Either way, you’ll get the honest math, not a sales pitch.

Losing Air Every Week? Get It Looked At

Topping the same tire off every few days isn’t maintenance — it’s a leak. Left alone, it wears the tire unevenly, hurts your fuel economy, and eventually strands you. Most leaks are a quick, cheap find-and-fix when you catch them early.

Tire Repair Questions, Answered

Straight answers — the same ones we’d give you at the counter.

Can my tire be patched?

If the puncture is in the main tread area, roughly pencil-width or smaller, and you haven’t driven on it flat — very likely yes. Sidewall and shoulder damage can’t be safely repaired, and we’ll tell you straight which side of the line your tire is on.

How long does a tire repair take?

Most repairs are done while you wait. We dismount the tire, inspect it inside, install the patch-plug, rebalance, and put it back on.

Is a plug good enough?

An outside-in rope plug is a get-you-home fix, not a permanent one. The proper repair is a combination patch-plug installed from the inside with the tire off the wheel — that’s what we do, and it lasts the life of the tire when the puncture qualifies.

My tire keeps losing air slowly — is that a puncture?

Not always. Corroded wheel beads, leaky valve stems, and TPMS sensor seals are just as common. We’ll find the actual source instead of guessing — that’s the difference between fixing it once and topping it off forever.

What if my tire can’t be repaired?

Then you’ve got options on the spot: a matched used tire to pair with your remaining tread, or new tires if it’s time. We sell both, so you’ll get honest math, not a pitch.

Do you offer a discount for veterans or first responders?

Yes. Veterans, active military, and first responders get 20% off every service, including tire repairs — just let us know when you check in. Thank you for your service.
