Big Tires Are Different

A 35″ mud tire isn’t just a bigger version of a passenger tire — it’s heavier, it carries more rubber further from the hub, and a small imbalance becomes a steering-wheel shake at highway speed. Plenty of shops will sell you big tires. Fewer can balance them properly. We can — up to 38 inches — and we do it every week. And if your build calls for something bigger than 38s, bring it. A lot of shops get nervous around truly big rubber; we don’t. We’ll mount and install the size your rig is built for.

Mud Terrain or All-Terrain?

MTs look incredible and claw through anything — but they’re louder on the highway, wear faster, and demand religious rotation. ATs give up some bite for a quieter ride and longer life, which is the honest right answer for most trucks that work all week and play on weekends. Tell us how you actually drive and we’ll give you the real recommendation — not just the most aggressive-looking sidewall on the rack.

And if you ask what we’d run on our own trucks: we love Toyo. Open Country ATs and MTs are a shop favorite for lifted builds — tough, predictable, and they hold a balance on big sizes.

Keeping Big Rubber Alive

Balance Every Time

Heavy tires shed weights and go out of balance more often. Our Coats balancer handles up to 38″ — and every rotation includes a balance check.

Rotate Early, Rotate Often

Off-road tires want rotation every 3,000–6,000 miles — half the normal interval. At big-tire prices, even wear is real money.

Alignment Matters More

Lifts change geometry. An alignment after a lift or new set keeps that expensive tread wearing flat instead of feathering away.

We Get It — We Drive Them Too

A Shop That Likes Your Truck

Some shops groan when a lifted rig pulls in. Here, it’s the good part of the day. We don’t just service lifted trucks — we install lift kits too. Whether you’re starting from stock and dreaming bigger, leveling a daily, or running 38s on a built rig, you’ll get techs who know big trucks inside and out.

Big Tire Questions, Answered

Straight answers — the same ones we’d give you at the counter.

Do you install lift kits?

Yes — we install lift kits for trucks, and doing the lift, tires, and alignment in one shop means the geometry gets set right the first time. Call us with your truck and what you’re going for, and we’ll talk options and price.

How big of a tire will you put on?

Bigger than most shops will touch. We balance up to 38 inches on our Coats equipment — and if your build runs bigger than that, we’re not afraid of it. We’ll mount and install the size your rig calls for; call and tell us what you’re running.

Why does my lifted truck shake at highway speed?

Most often it’s balance — big tires shed weights and develop imbalances faster than passenger tires. Sometimes it’s wear pattern or alignment after a lift. We’ll check the balance first, tell you what we find, and fix the actual cause.

Mud terrain or all-terrain — which should I get?

Honest answer: for most trucks that drive pavement all week, ATs win — quieter, longer-lasting, and still capable off-road. If your weekends genuinely involve mud, MTs earn their keep. Tell us how you drive and we’ll give you the real recommendation.

How often should I rotate off-road tires?

Every 3,000–6,000 miles — about half the normal interval. Aggressive tread wears unevenly fast, and at big-tire prices, rotation is the cheapest life insurance your set can get. Every rotation here includes a balance check.

Do I need an alignment after a lift or new tires?

Yes — lifts change your suspension geometry, and misalignment eats expensive tread fast. An alignment the same day as new rubber is the right order of operations.

Do you offer a discount for veterans or first responders?

Yes. Veterans, active military, and first responders get 20% off every service — just let us know when you check in. Thank you for your service.
