Hand in Hand
Balancing your tires is what gives you a smooth-riding vehicle. Rotating them ensures even wear on all four tires across their lifespan. The two go hand in hand — we never rotate a set of tires without first checking that they’re balanced, and every new set gets balanced before install.
How Do I Know When I Need a Balance?
If you feel a little wobble or a hop in a tire, it could be out of balance. Balancing weights can fall off, curb impacts can knock them loose, and uneven wear changes how a tire spins. When we balance a tire, a small weight goes on the wheel to counter any wobble — our Coats balancer tells us exactly how much weight and exactly where, for a perfect balance. Even off-road tires up to 38 inches get balanced to perfection here.
How Often Should I Rotate?
Every 6,000–8,000 miles for street tires — and every 3,000–6,000 miles for off-road tires. Regular rotation can significantly extend the life of a set by keeping the wear even. The pattern matters too: front-to-back or crossed, depending on whether your vehicle is front-, rear-, or all-wheel drive. And remember — every rotation here includes a balance check.

What Comes With Balancing & Rotation
Precision Balance
Computer-measured weights placed exactly where the Coats balancer says — no wobble, no hop, no guesswork.
The Right Pattern
Front-to-back or crossed, matched to your drivetrain — FWD, RWD, or AWD. Full-size spare? A 5-tire rotation is a great idea.
Wear Check
We eyeball the tread on every tire while it’s off — catching uneven wear early can save you a set of tires.
Big Tires Welcome
Off-Road & Lifted Trucks, No Problem
A lot of shops can’t balance a 35″ or 37″ tire properly — we can, and we do it all the time. If you run an off-road setup, remember the rotation interval is shorter (3,000–6,000 miles) and even wear matters even more at that tire price.

Balancing & Rotation Questions, Answered
Straight answers — the same ones we’d give you at the counter.
How often should I rotate my tires?
Every 6,000–8,000 miles for street tires, and every 3,000–6,000 miles for off-road tires. Regular rotation keeps the wear even and can significantly extend the life of the set — and every rotation here includes a balance check.
How do I know if a tire is out of balance?
A wobble, hop, or vibration — especially at highway speed — is the classic sign. Weights can fall off or get knocked loose by curb impacts, and uneven wear affects balance too. We’ll check it and show you exactly what the balancer reads.
How big of a tire can you balance?
Up to 38 inches — and if your build runs bigger, we’ll still mount and install it. Lifted trucks and off-road setups are kind of our thing.
Should I rotate my spare tire?
If you have a full-size spare, a 5-tire rotation is a great idea — it spreads the wear across all five tires.
What if I just balanced my tires and a weight came off?
If we did the balancing, we’ll gladly get you corrected free of charge.
Do you offer a discount for veterans or first responders?
Yes. Veterans, active military, and first responders get 20% off every service — just let us know when you check in. Thank you for your service.
