How Do I Know if I Need an Oil Change?

If you have been using conventional oil its recommended to change your oil every 5,000 miles. If you have been using synthetic oil you should be changing your oil every 7,500 to 10,000 miles. Hopefully your vehicle has a sticker in the upper left corner of the windshield indicating when the next oil change is due. If not you’re going to want to check the oil for cleanliness. Checking your oil every 1000 miles is recommended but modern day vehicles are usually pretty good at indicating if there is an issue with a check engine light.
